About Wildlife Crimes Unit

WCS-IP (Wildlife Conservation Society – Indonesia Program) and Indonesian Ministry of Forestry established WCU (Wildlife Crimes Unit) since 2003  to reduce illegal wildlife trafficking in Indonesia. WCU member consisted of NGO, government, and key partners working in northern Sumatra, eastern Sumatra, and Jakarta through intensive patrol, investigation, supporting law enforcement, advocacy, campaign and media publication.
WCUs work is supported through the Wildlife Conservation Society by:
USFW U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Rhino Tiger Fund and Great Ape Conservation Fund;
STF The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Save the Tiger Fund
